One year later...

A year can go by really fast. It has been a year since we moved into our house. It is surereal sometimes thinking that we have been here that long. It has been a year of ups and downs but over all a wonderful year.

Some highlights that we did since we moved in for the house-
-painted the kitchen/family room and hall.
-hung pictures and things on the wall in all but the guest room that will soon be the nursery.
-moved furniture around only about twice.
-bought a lot of furniture to fill up the house

Outside-
-established flowerbeds
-raked rocks and leveled the ground getting ready for grass
-got sprinkler systems and fence put in- it was so worth it not to do it ourselves
-planted trees, I only killed one that will be replaced this summer
-got the front and back hydro-seeded
-had raised garden boxes and grew a pretty good little garden
-grass grew and we were and are able to play on it
-go the swing in the front and the swing set for the back yard

Somethings that are still in the works that just have to wait for the budget.
-make a path from the front to the back and a place to put the trash cans
-build a pergola for the back patio
-get outdoor furniture
-get a few more trees- they are so expensive
-change the way the master bath door swings open
-paint a few more rooms
-find or make curtains


We have also had lots of other wonderful things go on in our lives but that is for other posts. This is just for remembering the house and some great things and blessings it has been to have a house. We love it and are so blessed and grateful for this blessing in our life.
